Women Activists Mourn Fallen Female Radio Personality.

Women activists have mourned befallen media practitioner Jane Anna Aciro who passed on with her unborn baby on Sunday.
Aciro, worked at Speak Fm in Gulu for the last two and half years as a talk show host and News anchor.
She died of liver problems from St Mary`s Hospital Lacor in Gulu and laid to rest at Gweno Twon village in Alero Ayom village Ongako sub county Omoro district on Tuesday.
In her condolence message to the bereaved family, Patricia Munabi Babiiha the Executive director Forum for Women in Democracy-FOWODE described Aciro as a committed hard working person whose demise is a great loss to the FOWODE family.
Jane Angom Mujoma, the station manager for Speak Fm defined the deceased as a very diligent, hardworking and passionate personality who informed her audience by asking questions and engaging the community.
She says the death is such a great loss to Speak Fm and the media fraternity across Northern Uganda as well as the nation.
Wizarts Foundation a Kampala based organization which educates girl children to remain in schools through the Superwoman radio programs similarly expressed sadness over the news of Aciro`s death in their condolence message read by Speak Fm Station Manger during the burial.
They say the organization worked together with Aciro to help girls in Gulu in schools to have a brighter future. Aciro was the presenter for the Superwoman project radio program aired on Speak Fm.
‘’We had developed a good working relationship with her as we worked together to keep the girls of Gulu in school for them to have a brighter future.’’ Part of the message reads.
Also media people under the Northern Uganda Media Club-NUMEC, an umbrella body for media practitioners in Northern Uganda remembered the deceased by according her a media burial on Tuesday.
They created with newspapers a dummy gate where the casket of the deceased passed through to its burial ground.
