Acholi in Diaspora to Attend Peace Prayer in Uganda.

Acholi community living in South Sudan are expected to attend a peace prayer due to be held in Uganda.
The August 4th prayer being organized by Peace Together Uganda will be held in Pajule Sub County in Pader district. Its essence is to bless and thank God for Acholi leaders, and also promote peace through mediation in Uganda.
The organizing chairperson Brilliant Tito Okello says they have received information from Acholi community living in Torit and Lukone and other areas in South Sudan notifying them that they will be part of the event.
Okello says the Acholi in South Sudan explains that the prayer is a significant move to restore the lost dignity of Acholi which rose from the over 20 years long insurgency in Northern Region led by the Lord`s Resistance Army-LRA rebel group.
Over 4000 people including President Yoweri Museveni, Deputy Speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanyah, Deputy Chief Justice Alphonse Owiny Dollo, Bishop of Gulu Archdiocese John Baptist Odama and Acholi Paramount Chief Onen David Acana II are expected to attend.
