Go For Medical Check Ups- Amuru LCV Tells Mourners.

The Amuru district LCV chairperson, Michael Lakony has re-echoed the call by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni asking Ugandans to take up medical check-ups seriously to avoid sudden death.
Lakony said routine medical check-ups will help Ugandans to ascertain their health status and start earlier treatment for their complications.
He was on Saturday afternoon addressing mourners from Pupwonya North village in Attiak Sub County on Saturday afternoon during the burial of Geoffrey Komakech the Amuru district Forum for Democratic Change-FDC spokesperson who suddenly died on Wednesday night on his way to Gulu Regional Referral Hospital-GRRH minutes after complaining of acute chest pain.
Lakony added that prior findings of one`s health status can also encourage others to fund raise for treatment in case the person cannot afford treatment cost.
The call comes just a day after Museveni told mourners to seriously take up medical check-ups if they are to live longer to benefit the country during a funeral service at All Saints Cathedral Church in Kampala.
Komakech Geoffrey aged 31, served as the Amuru district FDC spokesperson for 15 years, he was also the councilor for Attiak Sub County from 2011 to 2016. By the time of his death he was the Political Assistant for Kilak North Member of Parliament Anthony Akol.
