Gulu Cleric Cautions Christians Against Using Obscene Words on Servants of God.

A catholic priest in Gulu has cautioned Christians against using obscene words to belittle servants of God in public.
David Okello Opiro the Curate of Holy Rosary church said some Christians use abusive and utter false statements to describe priests and other servants of God to make them look bad in the eyes of the public so that they lose respect.
The cleric explained that such people out of anger or hatred to one`s preaching turns to uttering false statements to incite believers against believing in such persons and also shunning their masses.
He noted that this is a big blow to Christianity and has often led many believers away from their faith or even shunning masses being led by the said persons.
Opiro was on Sunday morning preaching during the weekly morning mass at Holy Rosary Church.
Christianity is the widely professed religion in Uganda according to the 2014 census, over 84 percent of the population was Christian while 14 percent adhered to Islam making it the most minority religion.
