Road Accident Kills One, Critically Injures Seven Football Players in Amuru.

One football player has died and seven others critically injured after a vehicle they were travelling in overturned at Otwee Town Council in Amuru district on Thursday night.
The deceased is Joel Ojok an 18 year old resident of Oloyotong Village in Amuru Sub County while the injured are still unidentified.
The accident occurred at Amuru-Awer road junction meters away from the Town Council after the Fuso Truck Registration number UBA 180P loaded with 50 players of Kingstar and Greenland Football Clubs veered off the road and overturned.
Denis Okeny the Amuru sub county speaker says the players were from Amuru Sub County destined to Otwee Town Council to report for the 2018 Uhuru Cup Competition slated for Friday.
Emmanuel Bwambale the Amuru district police commander confirmed the incident. He said the driver and his conductor are still on the run meanwhile the vehicle has been towed to Otwee Police station pending inspection.
Police says the injured were rushed to various health facilities for treatment.
