Dozens Missed PLE in Omoro District.

Thirty Six pupils from various schools in Omoro district missed the 2018 Primary Leaving Examination-PLE that ended last week.
The district Inspector of Schools Jasper Mwaka said16 girls and 20 boys were captured absent and did not complete the primary cycle under unclear circumstances.
Mwaka suspects that some female candidates could have gotten pregnant or married off meanwhile among the boys could have resulted from negligence of parents and guidance.
He added that the district education department is yet to identify families of the pupils and conduct impromptu visits to their homes to find out why they missed the exams.
A total of 2993 candidates registered for the 2018 PLE final exams in Omoro district from 68 schools out of the 646,080 registered countrywide.
The Omoro District Police Commander Denis Kamugisha recently blamed parents and guardians in Omoro district for conniving with men to marry off their young girls in exchange for cows and money.
The minister for education Janet Museveni recently announced that government will not give supplementary exams to pupils who missed out on their PLE.
