Gulu RDC Speaks Tough on Young Rapper ‘’Fresh Kid’’.

The Gulu Resident District Commissioner-RDC, Major Santos Okot Lapolo has lashed at parents and managers of young rapper, Patrick Ssenyonjo aka Fresh Kid for supporting his musical talent.
The RDC said it is unrealistic for Fresh Kid`s parents to extract money from the minor through his musical shows.
He urged that the parents should allow the kid go back to school because he is still young to make decisions on his own.
Lapolo said he is against the decision to allow the minor continue with his music citing that it is one way that children are being abused in terms of talent.
Lapolo was on Monday speaking from Gulu district council during a sensitization meeting of Uganda Bureau of Statistics-UBOS and stakeholders on the Annual School Census undertaken by government.
He wondered how the young artist will make it in the future without undergoing education which he termed paramount for one`s future.
The seven-year old rapper is behind hits like Banteeka and Bambi. His musical career has been wondered over by many including ministers who say he is too young for music and should instead go back to school.
Recently Youth Minister, Nakiwala Kiyingi ordered that the young rapper stops performing to concentrate on his education.
