Rain Devastates Lukole Sub County Administration Blocks.

Heavy rain has destroyed office blocks and valuable documents of Lukole Sub County in Agago district.
The Sunday night heavy downpour accompanied by strong winds unroofed and blew off the office block iron sheets and solar panels which house the sub county chairperson, chief, Lukole police post, accountant, community development officer and the council hall.
John Bosco Olwoch, the Sub County Speaker says they have been forced to shift operations under mango trees due to office shortage and equally valuable documents were destroyed.
Olwoch says preliminary assessment by engineers indicate that they require UGX 80 million to buy timber, iron sheets, nails and labor costs to repair the building.
The same rain also devastated seven other business premises in Lukole trading centre were also unroofed and one sub county staff block.
Leonard Opiyo Ojok, the Agago district chairperson said the district will treat the matter with urgency to ensure that the structure is repaired.
Similar heavy downpour has also in the recent weeks destroyed staff rooms at Anaka Hospital in Nwoya district, Oyam Primary School in Oyam district, and staff houses at Pukony at Health Centre II in Gulu district.
