Gulu Mob Torches 51 Huts in Revenge Attack.

Angry mobs from Kati Kati C Village Oitino Parish Bungatira Sub County Gulu district on Tuesday afternoon torched 51 huts and destroyed several household properties in a revenge attack.
The incident occurred at around 3:00 p.m, Kati Kati C village Chairperson, Quirino Opiyo said the incident followed the disappearance of one Vincent Rachkara.
It is reported that Rachkara went missing on 15th May 2019 after picking a fight with Francis Ojok alias Aganya and Francis Onen.
Opiyo says information on Tuesday emerged that the body of Rachkara was recovered in the bush prompting his family members to mobilize and revenge against the family of the suspects.
They killed one goat, burnt 51 huts and destroyed several household items forcing the suspects` family members to flee for dear lives.
Oitino Parish Councilor 3, Gerald Alfred Ocen condemned the action saying that revenge creates more disunity and destruction. He noted that the situation was calmed by police.
Patrick Jimmy Okema, the Aswa river region police spokesperson confirmed the incidence. He said a case of arson is being investigated under General Enquiry File-GEF 15/2019 at Aswa region.
Meanwhile one of the suspects Stephen Ojok alias Aganya is already in custody at Lacor police post.
He added that the body of Rachkara has also not yet been recovered by press time.
The case of Rachkara`s disappearance was on 18th May 2019 reported at Lacor police post by his mother, Sidonia Ayot.
