Minister In Charge Northern Uganda Delivers Presidential Pledge To The Youth.

The minister in charge of northern Uganda Honorable Grace Kuweyucwiny has delivered the presidential pledge that his excellence made to the youth during his campaigns.

Some of the items that the president had promised youth including sawing machines, Ox-plough, iron sheets, two motorcycles and two cassava machines were delivered.

While handing over the items to the various youth groups the minister assured them to use the items given to them as their personal property so that they can up lift their economic status.

In most times property given by the government is abused by the beneficiaries but this time round we shall follow up the youth groups to ensure that whatever the president gave them is put in to productive activities.

Kuweyucwiny also stated that the iron sheets is for the rehabilitation of dilapidated churches which were affected during the insurgency as well as the motorcycles is intended to help in easy movement of the priests to the various parishes.

Gulu district local government deputy speaker Totika Walter noted that it’s so exciting that the president has kept his promise and delivered his pledge to the various youth groups.

One of the beneficiaries Otim David from airfield youth saving and loan association however noted that the cassava machine delivered to them is good but they have no knowledge on how to use it but they will try their best to utilize the machine.

He says that the machine will eradicate unemployment among the youth as most of them will be engaged in operating the machine and earning money from nearby farmers.
